FSQA System & Compliance Analyst - BB Nash Nashville
BB Nash Nashville seeks a detail-oriented FSQA Analyst to strengthen food safety systems, maintain SQF compliance, track improvements, and keep the facility audit-ready.

The FSQA System & Compliance Analyst provides dedicated ownership and support for the site food safety and quality management systems, with a primary focus on SQF compliance, regulatory documentation, verification activities, records management, trending, risk assessment, corrective and preventive action follow-up, and audit readiness. This role ensures critical FSQA programs and records are current, accurate, appropriately reviewed, and completed within required timeframes.
Working closely with the FSQA Director, FSQA Supervisor, Sanitation, Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other functional leaders, the Analyst translates food safety and quality requirements into disciplined system execution and provides visibility to gaps, trends, risks, and required actions. This position is primarily systems- and compliance-focused and complements the FSQA Supervisor’s day-to-day floor leadership and execution responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
SQF Program & Document Control Management: Maintain SQF programs, procedures, forms, records, and supporting documentation to ensure food safety and quality systems remain current, accurate, compliant, and audit-ready. Coordinate document revisions, approvals, version control, and retention in accordance with site requirements.
PCQI Record Review & Verification: Complete and document required PCQI-related record reviews and verification activities within established timeframes and in accordance with the site Food Safety Plan, preventive controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance Documentation: Monitor applicable food safety and regulatory requirements and maintain records and supporting documentation necessary to demonstrate ongoing compliance. Support regulatory inspections, customer requirements, and certification activities as assigned.
Sanitation Record Review & Verification: Review, verify, and sign off on sanitation records to confirm required activities have been completed and properly documented. Identify deviations and ensure appropriate follow-up, escalation, and corrective actions are documented and completed.
Environmental Monitoring Program Administration: Coordinate environmental monitoring schedules, swabbing activities, sample submission, and testing. Review and reconcile laboratory results against established requirements; identify trends; and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are initiated, documented, verified, and communicated.
Raw Material & Finished Product Review, Reconciliation & Release: Review required food safety and quality documentation for incoming raw materials and finished products and support or manage release activities in accordance with established specifications, hold/release procedures, and requirements. Monitor and trend results and communicate significant findings to FSQA leadership.
Documentation, Records & Risk Assessment Management: Ensure food safety and quality records are complete, accurate, appropriately reviewed, properly maintained, and readily available for internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits. Create, maintain, and periodically review required risk assessments.
Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Follow-Up: Identify compliance gaps, recurring issues, and adverse trends; coordinate corrective and preventive actions with responsible departments; track actions to completion; and verify effectiveness and appropriate documentation.
Trending & Management Communication: Analyze relevant food safety and quality data to identify trends, emerging risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and communicate findings, action items, and required follow-up to FSQA leadership and appropriate stakeholders.
Audit Readiness & Support: Maintain continuous audit readiness and support SQF, regulatory, customer, and internal audits by preparing records, retrieving documentation, responding to evidence requests, tracking findings, and supporting closure of corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Compliance Support: Partner with Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to clarify documentation requirements, resolve compliance gaps, and reinforce consistent execution of food safety and quality programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, Quality, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant food manufacturing experience may be considered.
2+ years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, SQF/BRCGS, or related food manufacturing systems preferred.
Working knowledge of SQF, GMPs, HACCP, FDA food safety requirements, preventive controls, sanitation verification, environmental monitoring, and CAPA principles.
PCQI certification preferred; ability to obtain certification if required.
Experience with document control, records review, audit preparation, risk assessments, data trending, and corrective action tracking.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage recurring compliance deadlines and maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
Ability to analyze data and documentation, identify gaps or trends, and communicate findings clearly to both FSQA and operational stakeholders.
Strong organizational, written communication, follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn electronic quality, document management, and production systems.
