Role Summary
The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring and enforcing product quality and food safety standards throughout the production process. You’ll perform inspections, testing, and documentation while proactively identifying issues and supporting corrective actions.
This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with GMP, HACCP, and company quality systems, and requires prior quality experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. You will be a hands-on presence on the production floor, helping ensure products meet the highest standards every day.
Core Responsibilities
Quality Inspections & Process Monitoring: Ensure consistent product quality on the production floor.
Perform in-process and finished product inspections
Monitor production to ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards
Conduct routine quality checks (e.g., weight, appearance, packaging, labeling)
Identify, document, and escalate non-conforming products or processes
Ingredient & Batch Quality: Support consistency and accuracy in production.
Inspect incoming raw materials and ingredients for quality and compliance
Verify accurate weighing, batching, and mixing of materials
Monitor product consistency, appearance, and overall quality during production
Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain audit-ready operations.
Enforce GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards on the production floor
Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and verify compliance
Ensure proper handling of food ingredients across all areas of the plant
Participate in internal audits and support customer audits and regulatory inspections
Documentation & Traceability: Ensure accuracy and accountability.
Accurately complete quality records, logs, and reports
Maintain traceability of raw materials and finished goods
Document deviations and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Team & Operational Support: Collaborate across functions.
Partner with production and warehouse teams to ensure standards are met
Provide real-time feedback and guidance on quality issues
Support investigations and root cause analysis
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications preferred
2+ years of experience in a quality role within a food or beverage manufacturing environment required
Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or similar quality and food safety systems
Experience with inspections, documentation, and audit readiness
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
