Quality Technician

Role Summary
The Quality Technician supports the food safety and quality performance of our Nashville manufacturing facility by executing quality control processes, monitoring production standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, supporting traceability, and ensuring audit readiness in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Safety Systems Support: Execute and maintain site food safety and quality programs.
Support HACCP and Preventive Controls programs through monitoring and documentation.
Perform CCP checks and ensure compliance with critical limits.
Follow and enforce GMP, allergen control, and sanitation standards on the plant floor.
Regulatory & Audit Readiness: Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance.
Ensure accurate, complete, and audit-ready quality records.
Support internal, customer, and third-party audits as needed.
Assist with CAPAs and ensure timely documentation and closure.
Quality Control Execution: Protect product integrity through inspection and verification.
Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
Document and escalate non-conformances and quality deviations.
Support hold/release decisions and product disposition processes.
Traceability & Documentation: Ensure accurate lot tracking and recall readiness.
Maintain lot traceability for all raw materials and finished goods.
Support mock recalls and traceability exercises.
Ensure ERP or quality system data is accurate and up to date.
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving: Support resolution of quality issues.
Assist in root cause analysis and investigation of quality events.
Partner with Production and Warehouse teams to resolve issues.
Identify opportunities to improve quality processes and compliance.
Qualifications
Required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field — or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing quality or a related field.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards.
Experience with inspections, documentation, and quality processes.
Preferred
HACCP Certification.
PCQI Certification.
Experience with ERP or quality systems.
Experience in allergen-controlled environments.
