Position Summary

The Cost Controller / ERP Specialist supports the financial and operational performance of our Nashville manufacturing facility by combining cost accounting expertise with hands-on ERP system leadership. This hybrid role is responsible for driving accurate cost management, financial analysis, and process optimization through effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain modules.

This position plays a critical role in improving cost visibility, strengthening reporting accuracy, and ensuring ERP functionality aligns with operational needs. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, ERP system proficiency, and the ability to collaborate across finance, production, warehouse, and supply chain teams.

Core Responsibilities

Cost Control & Financial Analysis

• Monitor, analyze, and report on production costs, overhead, labor efficiency, and material variances.

• Track cost trends and provide actionable insights to management for cost reduction and process optimization.

• Support financial closing processes, including cost allocations and KPI reporting.

• Review and validate standard costing assumptions.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of cost-related financial metrics.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 System Management & Optimization

• Provide user support and issue resolution within Microsoft Dynamics 365.

• Conduct root cause analysis of operational and system-related issues.

• Maintain and manage ERP master data accuracy.

• Train and support warehouse and production super-users.

• Translate operational improvement initiatives into ERP system configurations and process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred; manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain.

• Familiarity with state and local tax compliance.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
