Role Summary
The IT Plant/Site Coordinator supports our Nashville manufacturing facility by ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations across plant and business systems. This role provides hands-on technical support, maintains network infrastructure, and partners with operations and leadership to implement technology solutions that enhance productivity and maintain data integrity.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining uptime for manufacturing systems while supporting broader digital and process improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, responsiveness, and the ability to translate business needs into practical IT solutions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Site IT Support Leader: Ensure stable, responsive, and secure on-site technology operations.
Provide hands-on IT support for users, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Support mixed Windows and macOS environments across operational and corporate users.
Maintain clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes.
Drive continuous improvement of local IT systems as the business scales.
Endpoint & Device Management Owner: Maintain secure and compliant device environments.
Own Microsoft Intune administration, including device enrollment, lifecycle management, and security policies.
Manage configuration, compliance, and application deployment across endpoints.
Support and maintain hand scanners and other operational devices critical to production and warehouse operations.
Identity & Access Administrator: Protect secure access and authentication standards.
Administer Entra ID (Azure AD), including user identity, access control, and device authentication.
Maintain secure access controls aligned with company security standards.
Network & Infrastructure Manager: Maintain reliable and secure network performance.
Manage and troubleshoot switching, VLAN configurations, and firewall rules.
Monitor and resolve network performance and connectivity issues.
Maintain basic network security controls and compliance standards.
Security & Surveillance Systems Coordinator: Oversee local physical security technology.
Administer and maintain CCTV systems.
Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution.
Vendor & Procurement Manager: Ensure cost-effective and reliable IT services.
Manage procurement of IT hardware and software.
Oversee vendor relationships, service providers, and supplier contracts.
Maintain inventory control for IT assets and equipment.
What It Takes to Succeed
A proactive, ownership-driven approach — you take issues from identification through resolution with minimal escalation.
Confidence managing both infrastructure and end-user support in a hands-on environment.
Strong technical discipline across Intune, Entra ID, and network management.
Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders in operational settings.
A calm, structured approach in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred; relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) a plus.
2+ years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS).
Experience troubleshooting hardware (PCs, printers, barcode/label scanners) and managing endpoints or VDI environments.
Familiarity with manufacturing systems (MES, SCADA, PLC integration) preferred.
